The companies operate in a market that is constantly changing through new technologies and global competitors. Through a merger, we will be even better equipped to invest in development and technology to continue to offer quality products in media analysis. With this, we create the right conditions to be able to provide our customers with monitoring and insights in a dynamic media landscape that is affected by social media, fake news, and new AI solutions.
"The merger enables the investments required in the coming years to continue to offer the best products and services for our customers", says Robert Söderling, CEO of Retriever Group.
"The merger is a logical next step for Infomedia. We will be able to benefit from both companies' respective skills and resources and create better conditions for improving our services together", says Martin Ove Rasmussen, CEO of Infomedia Group.
In the merger, a new holding company will be created, jointly owned by Retriever's current owners, TT Nyhetsbyrån AB and the Norwegian news agency NTB, and Infomedia's owners, the Danish media groups JP/Politikens Hus and Berlingske Media.
In conjunction with the merger, Robert Söderling will be appointed CEO of the new company and Martin Ove Rasmussen will join the executive management team.
The merger took effect Friday, June 28th 2024.
